How It Works

This article will explain how duplicates in the Vendors module are identified. Our extension uses information from specific Vendors module fields and scans across Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Vendors modules to detect potential duplicates. It compares information available in specific Vendors module fields to find duplicates. Identified duplicate vendors are tagged with the Check Duplicates in Notes tag and directs links are added to all potential duplicates in the Notes related lists for you to easily access them and take further action.

Where Duplicates Are Searched

The system checks for matching records in the following modules and fields:

Leads Module

• Company Name
• Website
• All standard and custom email fields
• All standard and custom phone fields

Contacts Module

• All standard and custom email fields
• All standard and custom phone fields

Accounts Module

• Account Name
• Website
• All custom email fields
• All standard and custom phone fields

Vendors Module

• Vendor Name
• Website
• All standard and custom email fields
• All standard and custom phone fields
