Search Methods for Identifying Duplicates
Identifying Duplicates on New Record Creation
When you create a new Lead, Contact, Account or Vendor in your Zoho CRM our extension automatically triggers a workflow rule that checks for duplicates. If one or more potential duplicates are found the record will be tagged with Check Duplicates in Notes tag and all identified duplicates will be listed in the Notes related list including their direct links, allowing you to easily check them and take further action.
Identifying Duplicates for a Single Existing Record
To check if an existing single record in Leads, Contacts, Accounts or Vendors modules might be a duplicate, you can use our Identify Duplicates button. This button is located in top right corner within a record and enables you to quickly identify duplicates for one record at a time. For example, a lead you are working on.
What You’ll See When Using the Button
When you use the single record button 3 different messages can pop up. Click on each scenario below to see the message screenshot.
Identify Duplicates for Multiple Existing Records
Need to check multiple records for duplicates? Our extension also adds a button named Identify Duplicates to the Mass Action Menu. The mass action button enables you to search for duplicates in up to 100 records at once. For example, checking for duplicates in your existing contacts. We purposely limited the number of records that will be searched to 100 in order to ensure the mass action button executes in a stable and consistent way.

If you have larger datasets in your Zoho CRM that need to be searched for duplicates we can offer this as a separate service. Please reach out to us with a brief description of your specific requirements to
helpdesk@magpie-bt.eu and we'll come back to you to discuss this further.
